Description
Design: 1940 by Wolfgang von Wersin
FEW WOULD GUESS THAT THE WERSIN VASE HAS CELEBRATED ITS 80TH BIRTHDAY. THE CLEVER DESIGN AND MASTERFUL GEOMETRIC CUT MAKE IT A TIMELESS JEWEL.
Between 1939 and 1941, their author designed a set of vases where he employed standard facet cutting and experimented with various more complex types of fat-glass and hollow-glass cuts, such as wedge cuts, hexagonal facets, large rhombic pebbles or spiral grooves. In 1940, Wersin’s works for Moser won the Grand Premio award at the Milan Triennial VII.
